  • Rooted in Truth: Convictions are not just opinions—they are anchored in divine truth and spiritual revelation.
  • Tested by Trials: True convictions are often forged in suffering or opposition (Daniel in Babylon, Paul before Felix).
  • Guided by Conscience: They reflect the soul’s moral awareness and alignment with God’s will (Romans 2:15).

2 Corinthians 4:16, Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. Outside man uses his senses and reacts according to it. Inside man has Spirit and Soul. Travel together.

What happens to the soul when a person dies? Immediate Transition: The Soul Leaves the Body

  • At death, the soul separates from the physical body (Ecclesiastes 12:7).
  • The body returns to dust, but the soul continues in a conscious state.
  • For believers, the soul is immediately in the presence of the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23).

The Intermediate State

  • This is the period between death and resurrection.
  • The soul of the believer dwells in heaven, worshiping and awaiting the resurrection of the body (Revelation 6:9–11).
  • The soul of the unbeliever enters a state of separation and anguish, often described as Hades or Sheol (Luke 16:22–23).

Final Resurrection and Judgment

  • At Christ’s return, the soul will be reunited with a resurrected body (1 Corinthians 15:52; John 5:28–29).
  • Believers will receive glorified bodies and enter eternal life in the New Heaven and New Earth (Revelation 21:1–4).
  • Unbelievers will face eternal separation from God (Matthew 25:46). Believer’s Soul Unbeliever’s Soul Enters God’s Enters Hades, a place presence (2 Cor. 5:8) of separation (Luke 16) Eternal life with God

Luke 16:19, “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.

Lived in the outer man.

Luke 16:20-21, But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. Two bodies on contrast.
Luke 16:22, So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. Five senses finished.
Luke 16:23, And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Who is suffering? Outer man is inside the grave. Inside man is in hell.

How can he look up? His eyes are in the grave. Luke 16-24, “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’

And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ Even if you have desire to come!

Luke 16:27-31, “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ ” Look after your inner man than outer man.
  • Outer man life is limited.
  • Inner man life is eternal.

Inner man has two parts. Soul and Spirit.

  • Soul work with brain.
  • Soul works with Spirit.

Soul works with both. Spirit only works with Word of God.

Genesis 21:14-19, So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba. 15 And the water in the skin was used up, and she placed the boy under one of the shrubs. 16 Then she went and sat down across from him at a distance of about a bowshot; for she said to herself, “Let me not see the death of the boy.” So she sat opposite him, and lifted her voice and wept. 17 And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. 18 Arise, lift up the lad and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation.” 19 Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink. Beersheba desert.
